The new Parisian palace is situated at 19 avenue Kléber (8th) near to the Arc de Triomphe. Housed in the former international conference centre of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The Peninsula Paris is an imposing 33,000-m² building. At the time of its construction in 1908, it housed the Hôtel Majestic before being converted into a conference centre.
The 5-star hotel is the Hong Kong and Shanghai group’s first hotel in Europe. It has 200 bedrooms including 34 suites, some of these, the Premier Suites, are 100 m²!
The Peninsula has six food and beverage venues including L’Oiseau Blanc, a rooftop restaurant affording an exceptional panoramic view of the capital, and Lili, which attracts fans of traditional Cantonese cuisine and whose decor takes its inspiration from French and Chinese opera. The Peninsula Paris also offers reception rooms, a spa, an indoor swimming pool and a fitness centre with sauna, hammam and sensory shower.
After 4 years of work, this exceptional establishment opened on 1 August 2014. The architecture and interior design was entrusted to the Richard Martinet architecture firm, which carried out the work at the Shangri-La Paris. The hallmark of The Peninsula style is very high quality service. Each member of staff is specifically trained to provide the most pleasant of welcomes.
