Car and mobility scooter rental companies offer adapted vehicles
Below, the Bureau has compiled a list of car and mobility scooter rental companies offering vehicles adapted to disabled people, in and around Paris. Contact details are provided with the description of each company to enable you to get in touch with them and rent a vehicle that meets your requirements.
The type of adapted vehicle offered will depend on whether the disabled person is the driver (driving licence B) or a passenger: access ramp, fixture fittings for wheelchairs, accelerator controls at the steering wheel and other driving aids and adaptations.

Mobility scooters on public transport
In its rules on public transport travel, the RATP stipulates that:
'The RATP is not required to ensure access to people equipped with an electric powered wheelchair or mobility scooter exceeding the load bearable by pallets of 350 kg, and exceeding the clearance zone of a wheelchair of 0.75 m x 1.25 m in lenght.'
This rule applies to all modes of public transport (bus, metro, tram, RER).
