Adapted public transport in the Paris region
Presentation of the various public transport bodies in Paris and accessibility policy.
The Paris region public transport network offers several different means of transport. The city of Paris and the suburbs closest to the city are served by metro. The greater Paris region is covered by a rail network of inter-urban trains (RERs) and the Transilien. Other public transport is provided locally by a comprehensive network of bus routes and several tramway lines.

Île-de-France Mobilités
Île-de-France Mobilités is a transport authority that organizes, coordinates, and finances public transport in the Paris region. Among other things, it defines the general operating conditions, creates the various travel passes and fixes fare prices. It also defines the supply of transport and the level of the quality of services in contracts signed with the following companies: RATP, SNCF and Optile.
Making the transport network accessible to disabled people is a priority in all infrastructure work decided upon, piloted and financed by the STIF and in the choice of rolling stock. This initiative involving the STIF, the region and transport carriers is continually on-going so that everyone will be able to get around more easily.
