Institutes with eco-friendly and natural beauty treatments in Paris

The environmental challenges of today and tomorrow are coming into play on the beauty scene just like in other areas, with natural cosmetics brands and new green businesses opening up organic beauty salons.

More and more responsible and eco-designed establishments, careful to limit their impact on the environment, are popping up in Paris! And they are often committed to the environment and the use of natural products at multiple levels. Responsible salons and spas are avid recyclers and try to limit their waste. They use traceable materials, organic cotton and, of course, organic and natural plant-based treatments. The majority also use products that haven’t been tested on animals and formulas that are gentle on the skin and on the environment.

These oases of natural beauty and serenity provide a range of services which combine beauty and fitness. Anti-ageing treatments, detoxes, massages and even drainage. These natural-focused places make use of the benefits of vegetable oils, essential oils and floral waters.

Places offering natural and organic beauty treatments in Paris

More and more places are starting to offer natural treatments and cosmetics, including some prestigious spasSpa Le Bristol by La Prairie has called on organic brand Tata Harper to create an exclusive treatment menu. Over at CHI, the spa at the Shangri La, it’s the brand The Organic Pharmacy, specialized in organic cosmetics, that has designed the treatments with their combination of homeopathy, naturopathy and precise technique.

Some major beauty brands, inspired by a wide view of wellness, have set up their own spas where they can offer their products, spread their knowledge and share their ‘green’ beauty tips. One example is Oh My Cream with its concept stores, providing REN, Dermalogica and Tata Harper treatments to cover all needs.

Les Jardins Suspendus in the 11th arrondissement of Paris puts the emphasis on general wellbeing. So, as well as offering extremely gentle treatments using products from brands Alaena, Evolve Beauty, Ma Thérapie, Les Huilettes and Kure Bazaar, the spa holds sessions where you can meditate to the sound of Tibetan singing bowls.

Some more exclusive brands are opening spas with a clear commitment to respecting our skin and our planet. For example, the brand Absolution, following the success of its cosmetics products, has opened a spa next door to its shop in the 10th arrondissement to provide a small menu of personalized face and body treatments and make-up sessions using products 99% made up of natural ingredients. Same commitment but different vibe at the Lush spa in the heart of the Marais. The vibrant, spirited brand offers a menu of face and body treatments that stimulate all your senses.

Places like Weleda, Melvita, Dr Hauschka and Institut Danielle Lanstère also provide a haven of nature and relaxation for fans of organic beauty products. The expertise of these Parisian spas and salons and the quality of their products are well-established and the treatments carried out with skill and professionalism. At Weleda, vegetable and essential oils are blended together to find the most suitable formula. Melvita’s tranquil spa also places the emphasis on the creation of personalised formulas to maximise the potential of the treatments. As for the Dr Hauschka spa in the 11th arrondissement, it offers rhythmic treatments using their own products to relax your body and mind. The facial is a must! One thing’s for certain - there’s no need to think twice about heading over to these spots for a wonderful break from it all.
