Circus time in Paris
A circus show is an enchanting outing for children and adults alike. Acrobats, jugglers, magicians, clowns and dancers in feathered costumes make a show an unforgettableexperience for all.
This autumn, clowns, trapezeartists and jugglers will make a spectacular comeback. The venerable Cirque Bouglione is putting on its new show Dingue (from 23 October 2021) and the Cirque Alexis Gruss will display dazzling aerial acrobatics in its show Les folies Gruss (from 18 September 2021 to 6 March 2022). From 20 November 2021 to 16 January 2022, the Phénix Circus unveils its new show, Gaia, by women from circuses around the world. And last but not least the Bormann Moreno Circus is back with its new show Voyage dans le temps.
Family-friendly exhibitions in Paris
Kids learn better when they’re having fun, and the cultural calendar this autumn features a number of exhibitions that will appeal to children and adults alike, with guided tours and entertaining workshops to make learning a thrilling experience. These exhibitions are designed especially for youngaudiences, with a focus on inventiveness to stoke the curiosity of children as well as their parents.
Odyssée sensorielle (from 23 October 2021 to 4 July 2022), at the Grande Galerie de l'Évolution takes visitors on an extraordinary journey to experience the natural world through their senses of sight, sound and smell. At the Parc zoologique de Paris a selection of Tim Flach’s famous animal photographs are on display in an affectionate and amusing exhibition entitled Regard(s) fascinant(s) (until 7 November 2021). At the Musée en Herbe, the interactive exhibition Forever Play – Asdrúbal Colmenárezoffers fun for children aged 3 to 103! (until 10 October 2021). The Musée de l’Homme and Musée des Arts Forains are another three welcoming places for young visitors.
Concerts for children in Paris
Families can enjoy the spectacular Grandes eaux musicales (Musical Fountains Show) at the Château de Versailles until 31 October 2021. Stroll around the park and gardens created by André Le Nôtre and admire the fountains playing to the sound of baroque music. Get your fill of music this autumn at the Philharmonie de Paris and its brand new kids’ space designed especially for children aged 4 to 10, the Philharmonie des enfants. Not forgetting the Jazz à la Villette festival at the Grande Halle which has concerts and workshops for kids.
Shows for all the family in Paris
Musical sensation The Lion King returns to the théâtre Mogador from 6 November 2021 (premiering from 6 to 10 November 2021). Simba, Scar, Nala, Timon and Pumba are back to delight children and grown-ups alike. At the end of the year, Ladybug and Chat Noir will descend on the Palais des Sports - Dôme de Paris, from 20 December 2021 to 3 January 2022. The main characters from the global phenomenon Miraculous Ladybug are brought to life in a spectacular musical show. Another event not to miss from 3 October 2021 at the théâtre de Paris is The Junge Book, voted best children’s show.
Children’s festivals and trade shows in Paris
Kidexpo at Porte de Versailles is a not-to-miss event, on from 4 to 7 November 2021: a hundred-odd educational workshops, plus all-new toys for children to discover, and many stands targeted to parents. Fans of superheroes and superheroines gather at the Comic Con show, where exciting surprises are in store for them, with guest stars of note and a host of cosplayers. And children and adults alike can enjoy thrilling rides and attractions in the good-humoured atmosphere of the Fête au Bois de Boulogne (from 3 September to 17 October 2021).
