Circus time in Paris
A circus show is an enchanting outing for children and adults alike. Acrobats, jugglers, magicians, clowns and dancers in feathered costumes make a show an unforgettableexperience for all.
This autumn, clowns, trapezeartists and jugglers will make a spectacular comeback. The venerable Cirque Bouglione is putting on its new show Exploit and the Cirque Alexis Gruss will display dazzling aerial acrobatics in its show Quintessence, while the Cirque Eloize will captivate Parisian audiences with an unusual, whimsical show called Cirkopolis. Paris circus heavyweights Cirque Romanès and Cirque Bormann Moreno will also be back on the scene.
Kids learn better when they’re having fun, and the cultural calendar this autumn features a number of exhibitions that will appeal to children and adults alike, with guided tours and entertaining workshops to make learning a thrilling experience. These exhibitions are designed especially for youngaudiences, with a focus on inventiveness to stoke the curiosity of children as well as their parents.
Valérian et Laureline, the revolutionary science fiction comic book, will have both kids and grown-ups hooked at the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie. At the Musée en herbe, the exhibition/event Hello My Game Is … focusing on the work of the street artist Invader will be back this autumn, having already drawn large crowds (guided tours available in English). The Musée de l’Homme and Musée des Arts Forains are another three welcoming places for young visitors.
Concerts for children
Every Sunday in September, L’Opéra côté cour event has people swaying along in Bercy Village to famous opera arias. This is a wonderful outing with the family. Get your fill of music this autumn at the Philharmonie de Paris, where you can enjoy music-infused prose and poetry readings, and the Jazz à la Villette festival, which has concerts and workshops for kids.
