The World of Jalèya, devised and staged by Ludovic Marcato, is the first production of the new Cirque de Paname. An extraordinary show to discover at the Hippodrome ParisLongchamp, from 14 November 2019 to 23 February 2020.
A hybrid, innovative and immersive show
The World of Jalèya tells the story of Oliver Wynd, a young man who discovers a chest full of objects in an attic. Among them, an oil lamp with mysterious powers opens the doors of the world of Jalèya to him and leads him to explore the kingdoms of the elements of nature.
The World of Jalèya is a one-of-a-kind hybrid, innovative and immersive show mixing contemporary circus, dance, music and many other high-level artistic disciplines.
The World of Jalèya offers a visual and sensory experience through breathtaking immersive technology including video projections, 3D audio effects, a water curtain, pyrotechnics, odorama (digital scent technology), LED wristbands, etc. This incredible musical show has a cast of more than 70 artists and technicians, 14 acrobats, 10 dancers, 4 live musicians, 2 singers and 3 actors. A dreamlike and fantastic production featuring innovative scenography, which promises to leave audiences with lasting memories.
The Cirque de Paname, the new name for great shows
The Cirque de Paname is the new production company for big shows in France. The Cirque de Paname is also first and foremost a human adventure that brings together 90 artists, artisans and designers, notably: Julia Spiesser, choregrapher for Céline Dion, Pink, and Sia; Skorpion, world champion of Hip-Hop who has worked with Madonna and Kylie Minogue; as well as big names from the world of entertainment, style and decoration.
The Cirque de Paname aspires to reinvent the genre of the big show in France, while committing itself to making it accessible to all audiences, and seeks to defend the values of creativity, innovation and French know-how.
A made-to-measure dome at the Hippodrome ParisLongchamp
To welcome its inaugural show, the Cirque de Paname has designed a huge big top made up of arches especially for the event, right in the heart of the Paris-Longchamp racecourse. In total, more than 10,000 m² of infrastructure enables spectators to step right into the World of Jalèya!
