Village atmosphere, bobo spirit and vintage boutiques … So-Pi (for south of Pigalle) is Paris’s up-and-coming district. The popular rue des Martyrs links the 9th arrondissement and Montmartre; and accounts for several renowned vintage shops like Zac & Sam, for men, Chezelle and Chiffon & Basile.
Shoe and handbag designer Karine Arabian has her historic shop in this district. The boutique L’Œuf sells costume jewellery, women’s clothing and products of the brand South Pigalle.
The Martyrs and Pigalle district has many renowned local shops. The bakery-patisserie-caterer DelmonTel is famous for its baguette and its gourmet creations; Causses is a grocer and also makes soups, salads and sandwiches.
The beauty and cosmetic brand Bourjois opened its first Parisian boutique in 2013 in Passage du Havre with a ‘beauty room’ and an open nail bar.
