The Haussmann-Saint-Lazare-Opéra district is a leading urban commercial centre, the veritable commercial heart of the capital. It is home to major department stores, and new shops regularly open here.

Founded in 1912, Galeries Lafayette showcases the latest fashion trends on it three floors, the big luxury brands, menswear departments (Lafayette Homme) and a fifth floor devoted to children. Opposite the historic building is its home decor store, Lafayette Maison, where you can buy tableware products, furniture, lights and household linen.

A few steps away, the Printemps department store also puts the accent on luxury. It has numerous accessory and upscale fashion brands: Alexander McQueen, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Red Valentino … The ground floor of Printemps menswear department is a new high-end timepiece space featuring such famous brands as Bell & Ross, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Longines, etc.

Rue Scribe also remains an important shopping street for fashionistas, with the unisex Japanese fashion brand Uniqlo, the women’s wear shop Maje and, Eric Bompard, the specialist in jumpers and clothes in cashmere.

A few steps away, the new shopping gallery at the Saint-Lazare train station, called St.Lazare Paris, houses numerous brands including Kickers shoes, Petit Bateau and Guess brands and skincare and beauty brands Lush and L’Occitane.
