Where to find international newspapers and magazines
All the international newspapers - or very nearly - are available in Paris. You will easily find daily papers or magazines from your country, or at least publications in your language.
Europe is present in the newspaper kiosks in stations and airports. Kiosks at the main tourist sites and leading hotels provide the main foreign newspapers. You can consult a good fifteen European newspapers at the Pavillon de l’Arsenal and at the BPI in the Pompidou Centre.
Each week, French newspapers publish a special supplement with what’s on in Paris (Aden in Le Monde, Figaroscope in Le Figaro). Three magazines (in French) deal exclusively with the Paris events programme: Pariscope, L’Officiel des Spectacles and Zurban. Télérama lists and comments on cultural events and also gives the television schedule.
British, German, Japanese, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, African or Canadian… Some twenty or more international bookshops can be found in Paris. You will not only find the classics but can also browse through the latest foreign writers.
FUSAC (France USA Contacts) is a free magazine containing classified ads and advertisements for the English-speaking community (Americans, British, Canadians, Irish, Australians, New Zealanders, etc.) of Paris and the surrounding area.
