Description

An unmissable event in 2023, the exhibition Ramses the Great. The Gold of the Pharaohs, on tour in 10 cities, will be in Paris at the Grande Halle de la Villette, from 7 April to 6 September. Some180 exceptional works will be on show, including the famous Treasure of Tanis and the gold necklace of Psusenes I, the gold bracelet of Sheshonq I and the pendant of Princess Mereret. Visitors will discover the life, reign, and legacy of the Pharaoh Ramses the Great, through mummies, statues, sarcophagi, jewellery and gold and silver masks.

The tour includes a film with spectacular views and a virtual reality experience of the Abu Simbel temples and the tomb of Queen Nefertari.

From €20 to €24 / €32 for the Open ticket (valid for 1 entry during the chosen month) / From €34 to €38 for the guided tour. Free for children under 4 years old. Virtual Reality Experience (VR Helmet) optional with an extra charge: €15.

Grande Halle de La Villette

The Grande Halle, a stone's throw from the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie, is the former abattoir of La Villette. Built between 1865 and 1867, it is listed as a historical monument. Restored between 2005 and 2007 by Bernard Reichen and Philippe Robert, it is one of the city's top spots for culture, hosting shows, concerts, exhibitions and festivals.
