Fondation Louis Vuitton | Exhibition

Fugues in color

from 04 May 2022 to 29 August 2022

Bois de Boulogne - 8 avenue du Mahatma Gandhi - 75116 Paris

Bois de Boulogne - 16e Arrondissement

Description

Running until 29 August 2022 at the Fondation Louis Vuitton, the exhibition Fugues in color explores the infinity of colour and offers a new perspective on painting through the works of five international contemporary artists: Sam Gilliam, Steven Parrino, Niele Toroni, Katharina Grosse, and Megan Rooney.

Instead of canvases hanging on walls, the visitor discovers works suspended in space, placed on the floor, mounted on frames, or produced on unusual surfaces. New works have been created especially for this occasion by Katharina Grosse and Megan Rooney.

Fondation Louis Vuitton

The Fondation Louis Vuitton, situated in the Bois de Boulogne, a stone's throw from the Jardin d’Acclimatation, opened its doors on 27 October 2014. The Foundation's exceptional contemporary art collections (permanent and temporary) are exhibited in an architectural gem designed by the American Frank Gehry. This visionary architect has revolutionized the use of glass and created previously unimagined shapes to produce a unique, innovative, light and airy building. In addition to the artistic and architectural richness of the Fondation Louis Vuitton, the visitor is also afforded wonderful panoramic views from the various terraces of the building.
