Photo de Betty Catroux pour l'expositio du Musée Yves Saint-Laurent, Paris

The exhibition Betty Catroux, Yves Saint Laurent. Feminine singular showing at the Musée Yves Saint-Laurent until 9 May 2021 pays tribute to Betty Catroux, the great couturier’s feminine double. Betty Catroux embodied Yves Saint Laurent’s physical ideal and inspired many of his creations and collections with her androgynous figure and her masculine-feminine look. Some fifty models from Betty Catroux's donation to the Pierre Bergé – Yves Saint Laurent Foundation illustrate the personality and influence of this model silhouette on the style of Yves Saint Laurent.

Musée Yves Saint Laurent - Paris

The Yves Saint Laurent Museum, inaugurated on 3 October 2017, presents dresses, accessories, costume sketches, photos and videos to the public in a 450 m² exhibition space. This museum, dedicated to one of the most iconic couturiers of the 20th century, is housed in a Second Empire mansion, in which the designer’s teams worked for 30 years. Highlights include the reception rooms formerly open to clients, more than 5,000 prototype dresses prototypes and the Studio, the nerve centre where all the collections were designed.
