Jardin des Tuileries, côté Seine - 75001 Paris
Louvre - 1er Arrondissement

Description
For the first time, the Musée de l’Orangerie is presenting an exhibition featuring the works of both Chaïm Soutine and Willem de Kooning. The show sets up a dialogue between the two artists and their singular creative universes. When De Kooning first saw Soutine’s paintings in the 1930s, they provided him with a fresh source of inspiration. Some 50 artworks ae on display, grouped into themes such the contrast between shape and formlessness, the painting of flesh, human faces and landscapes, and the atelier.
