Description

From 20 to 22 April 2019, the roof of the Grande Arche will be transformed into a farm! For Easter weekend, large and small are invited to look at and feed donkeys, baby goats, calves, geese, rabbits, and chicks, 110 m up! To better discover the farming world, workshops sharing the knowledge of yesteryear, including 'Wool in all its forms', and 'milk to butter', will be held during the day, as well as games such as a maze and an odd one out game for younger visitors. An Easter Egg Hunt will be held each day, with the aim of finding the golden egg to win the biggest prize.

Le Toit de la Grande Arche

The view: At the top of the Grande Arche, you will discover what is not the largest roof terrace in Paris. A promenade deck of 100m crosses the building along the historic axis of the city. From there, you can see the great monuments that have forged the identity of the city, from the Louvre, the nearby Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower, to the Tour Montparnasse, the Louis Vuitton Foundation, and Mont Valerien, and so many others besides!
But it is also a view of the largest open-air museum in France with 69 monumental exhibits on the forecourt of La Défense including the Stabile of Calder or the Thumb of Caesar.
The cultural spce: The first space dedicated to photojournalism and photography of current events, under the artistic direction of Jean François Leroy, founder of the International Festival of Photojournalism ('vista pour l'image / Perpignan'), the Arche du Photojournalisme welcomes four major exhibitions every year, each lasting three months, which honour and celebrate great French and international reporters.
