20k Paris Race
October 2021
Paris - 75 Paris

Description
Around 8,000 runners set off at the start of the very first Paris 20 kilometre Race, on 28 October 1979. More than 30 years later, the race now sees some 30,000 competitors rise to the challenge that was originally launched by Michel Jazy, the inspiration for this race
Now a key running event of the autumn season, this race begins at Pont d'Iena and then heads towards the Bois de Boulogne before reaching the finish line at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. The famous Parisian landmark acts as a symbol for the runners as they turn for home.
Even if you don't expect to beat the record set in 2005 by Kenyan Evans Kiprop Cheruiyot in the men's (57 minutes 19 seconds) or Rose Chelimo in the women's (1h05 and 1 second), it will still be a pleasure to have beaten your own personal best or pushed yourself to your limits.
