Description

As a meeting place for all professionals in the conservation and restoration of cultural heritage, this fair is a major event within the world of cultural heritage in Europe. Encompassing architecture, but also material and immaterial heritage, the professions represented here including artisan enterprises and territorial collectives, all present demonstrate that the issue of safeguarding heritage is a very relevant and pertinent one right now. The fair brings together national, European and International institutions. All in all, over 20,000 visitors come to meet the 300+ exhibitors from 15 different countries.

The "Metiers of Art and Built Heritage" prize is awarded to the most deserving artisans, particularly in the areas of transmission of skills and knowledge, training and accentuating architectural heritage. This often allows for an exploration of a skill or trade that is less well-known, such as crafting enamelled lava or building stone walls.
