From May to October, the city of Paris organizes numerous festivals in its parks and gardens. Theatre performances, concerts, shows for children and for adults; there's something for everyone.
The season begins with Kiosques en Musique. The 'kiosques' are the charming bandstands that can be found in many Parisian parks. During this festival they host some 400 free concerts, delighting music-lovers of all ages.
In summer (June to September), the Pestacles festival programmes concerts and shows for children every Wednesday. The Musicales de Bagatelle (May), the Chopin festival (June to July) and the Octuor de France (July to August) in the Parc de Bagatelle all celebrate classical music.
The Paris Jazz Festival (June to July) has been providing entertainment at the Parc Floral in Paris every weekend, for the last 20 years. In August and September, the classical music festival Classique au Vert then takes its place.
In late summer, Paris plays host to the Solistes à Bagatelle classical music concert in the Orangery of the Parc de Bagatelle (September), whilst Kiosquorama (June to October) focuses on music artists
