Description

Built in 1921, the Louxor cinema boasts distinctive neo- Ancient Egyptian architecture. A listed historical building, it closed in 1988. After having been threatened with demolition, it was renovated and reopened to the public on 17 April 2013. Situated in the 18th arrondissement, in the La Chapelle district, the Louxor screens recent films as well as great cinema classics. Children are also catered for with the 'Les p'tits loux' programme of films and screenings for schools.

Restaurant

Accessible only to cinema spectators, the Louxor bar offers finger food made with fine products and artisanal wines. It is situated on the 3rd floor of the building and has a fine terrace from which cinema buffs benefit from a panoramic view of the Barbes district and the Sacré-Cœur basilica at Montmartre. The Louxor bar is open from Tuesday to Friday from 6pm to 10:30pm, Saturday from 3pm to 10.30pm, Sunday and public holidays from 12:30pm to 10:30pm.
