Description

The Église Protestante Unie de l’Étoile, built in 1874, is one of the main protestant parishes in Paris, on Avenue de la Grande Armée, with a large church and a neo-gothic facade. Under a reformed traditional liturgy, they preach in a modern and often daring way. The church is especially visited by families with children often coming from far away for the particularly lively Sunday school. The organ at the Etoile is an exceptional instrument with 32 distinctive stops, built by famous organ-maker, Cavaillé-Coll. The organ was lucky to escape the disastrous renovations in the 50s and 60s and is still practically in its original state, something that is quite rare. On the first Sunday of each month, the church hosts a free concert between 5pm and 6pm.
