Description

The Musée des égouts de Paris ('Paris Sewer Museum') offers a unique visit and insight into a key aspect of the City of Paris' sewerage system. The first part, in the so-called dry gallery, is dedicated to understanding the Parisian sewerage system: its history, the various jobs involved in sewerage, environmental issues and the water cycles at different scales. A second part in a wet gallery, in the heart of the sewer network in operation, provides access to the water reservoirs and galleries of the network, corresponding to an industrial site in activity.
