Description
After 6 years of work to restore the decor and the collections, the chateau is once again open to the public this summer. The Chinese room, the smoking room, the monochrome boudoir ... each room is rich in furniture and decoration and can be discovered during a tour with the assistance of a tablet-pc.
The Château de Champs, a symbol of French elegance, set in a marvellous green environment, with harmoniously decorated rooms and collections designed by the most renowned craftsmen of the 18th century, displays an 'art de vivre', with pleasure and delight, where visitors are welcomed as special guests.
Amoung the guests, 80 film crews have discovered the exceptional decor of the chateau and its park. Among the films set here include: Swann in Love directed by Volker Schlöndorff (1984), Colonel Chabert by Yves Angelo (1994), L’Allée du Roi by Nina Companeez (1995), Ridicule by Patrice Leconte (1996), The Last Mitterrand by Robert Guédiguian (2004), Marie-Antoinette by Sofia Coppola (2006), and Jeanne Poisson, marquise de Pompadour by Robin Davis (2006).

Garden
Ordered around a main north-south axis, the 900m wide perspective is punctuated by two pools whose jets of water give freshness to all: the Scylla pools and the large pool.
In the center, framed by a double row of lime trees, the embroidery draws subtle and colorful geometric shapes. Topiaries emerge from flower beds to give a vertical dimension to this horizontal composition.
On each side are the parterre of Apollo, God of arts and light,a copy of the "Apollo of the Belvedere" of the Vatican and the parterre of Diana, Goddess of hunting and nature, a copy of "Diana of Versailles "of the Louvre Museum.
The East and West flags accentuate the symmetry of the set with star-shaped groves.
