Description

L’Adresse Musée de La Poste has been situated in the heart of the Montparnasse district since 1973. It focuses on written documents, history and culture. From the Seven League Boots to Aéropostale heros and the panorama of 150 years of postal stamps in France, the collections at L'Adresse - Musée de La Poste tell a story; not just one of a business, but one of everyday life in France.
The museum houses and displays historical, artistic, philatelic and scientific heritage across 1,000 m², with collector's items as diverse as the first postal route maps, postmen's uniforms, artists' models, postal stamps, popular items, and a large collection of mail/postal art.
L'Adresse - Musée de La Poste gives visitors the chance to explore 11 rooms of permanent collections on the history of the postal service and 12 temporary exhibitions on history and art each year.
