Description

Located in the Goutte d'or district, the Saint-Bernard church was built between 1858 and 1861 by the architect Auguste-Joseph Magne to respond to the growing expansion of the village of La Chapelle. Listed as a Historic Monument, it was built in the neo-Gothic style and richly decorated, and has an organ by Aristide Cavaillé-Coll. Its history is marked by the Club de la Révolution, which was organized there by Louise Michel during the Paris Commune.
