Description

This small Parisian necropolis has an exceptional view of the Seine, the Palais de Chaillot, and the Eiffel Tower. Some of these extravagant and often monumental graves evoke the same splendour that the occupants experienced when they were alive: aristocratic, financial, industrial, and political figures from 19th-century Paris. A number of famous artistic figures also rest here, such as Édouard Manet, Tristan Bernard, and Claude Debussy. The cemetery is sheltered by hundreds of horse chestnut trees that line the paths.
