Description

Located near the Eiffel Tower and the École Militaire is the Maison de l'Unesco, the headquarters of the honourable institution since 1958, where great architects and artists are collaborated from the 20th century. Architecture by Bernard Zehrfuss, Marcel Breuer; the exterior sculptures Alexander Calder, Henry Moore and Eduardo Chillida; the works displayed inside by Joan Miró, Pablo Picasso, Alberto Giacometti and Brassaï. The main building was built of seven floors forming a three-branched star, to which two other buildings need to be added. Guided tours are exclusively reserved for groups. However, the Maison de l'Unesco holds public events (exhibitions, concerts, etc.) of which the programme can be found on the website.
