Description

The Chaalis domain is located about 40km to the north of Paris. The Cistercian abbey was built in 1219 and visitors can admire the remains highlighted in a naturally romantic setting. Don't forget to discover the Renaissance frescos of the Sainte-Marie chapel (1255), the Jacquemart-André collection with masterpieces from Giotto, Philippe de Champaigne, Auguste Rodin ... and a 3,500m² rose garden.

Opening times

Park, rose garden, medieval abbey church and chapel: Every day, 10pm-6pm (5.30pm during winter). Castle Museum: daily from early March to mid-November, 11am-6pm; Sunday only from mid-November to late February, 10.30am-12.30pm; and 1.30pm-5.30pm.
