Description
Viewpoint
The garden walk, or cinematic walk, unravels like a film reel tossed haphazadly over the park.
The walker discovers, according to successive framing, a succession of twelve thematic gardens separated by footbridges and, at night, by a luminous dotted line. Depending on theirmood, the walker can explore different garden configurations: playgrounds, tree-planted grounds, sound elements, aquatic atmospheres and intimate spaces conducive to reflection.
Passenger Gardens
Created in 2001, the passenger gardens were inspired by the exhibition "The Planetary Garden", presented in 1999 in the Great Hall by the landscape gardener Gilles Clément, whose intention was to raise public awareness of major environmental issues. At the site of the former sheep market, this ecological island of 3000m² houses various ecosystems: grove, wasteland, pond, and dry stone wall. Ecological gardens with an educational and solidarity role, the passenger gardens serve as support for educational workshops to raise awareness of biodiversity for young and old. This state of mind encourages the experimentation of organic farming methods and a closer observation of the living.
