Description

For food lovers the marché de Rungis is paradise. It's the only market in the world to present such a wide range of high-quality produce: fish, meat, dairy products and cheese, fruits and vegetables, and cut flowers are transported every day by the lorryload on the 230 hectare marketplace. At Rungis, every year, food products by themsemves make up 1,500,000 tonnes, and 32 million bunches of flowers are cut there. Cultival is offering visits to the market to the public: the visitor finishes their tour with breakfast! So, come and see the neverending ballet of some 26,000 vehicles that come daily to Rungis. For individuals: departure at 4am (meeting at 3.45am), every Friday from Place Denfert-Rochereau (return between 10am and 10.15am at the same location) to take a bus to Rungis.

Visiting times: Visits planned exclusively on Friday. Meet at 3.45am at place Denfert-Rochereau for a departure at 4am, start of the visit at 4.30am. Return around 10am-10.15am at the same place. Itinerary: a 3-hour guided tour of the market + "Terroir" brunch. Another visit is offered from time to time: meet at 6.45am at place Denfert-Rochereau for a departure at 7am, start of the visit at 8am. Check availability on the website.
