Paris is a swinging city all summer long with dances taking place all over the City of Light.
Guinguette atmosphere in and around Paris
The guinguette spirit has made a notable comeback at evenings with dancing.
The Quai Saint-Bernard, just a few steps from the Musée de la Sculpture en Plein Air, is especially lively in summer with dance classes attracting a joyful crowd of enthusiasts. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced dancer, don’t hesitate to join in!
The Marne riverbanks, near to Paris, have been well-known for their guinguettes since the beginning of the 19th century. People go to them to eat and dance in a country setting by the waterside, like at Chez Gégène - a guinguette in Joinville-le-Pont. Also worth mentioning is the guinguette de l’Île du Martin-Pêcheur in Champigny-sur-Marne, the guinguette Auvergnate in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges and the guinguette des Maquereaux in Nogent-sur-Marne.
Party in Paris in the open air
Moored just below the National Assembly, opposite Place de la Concorde, the Concorde Atlantique boat welcomes À l’Ouest , a huge outdoor terrace with stunning views of the Grand Palais, the Tuileries Gardens and the Orsay Museum, and acoustic concerts and DJ sets … a must for summer!
