The best places to admire the fireworks

A quick round-up of the most strategic places in Paris for the best views of the Bastille Day fireworks display

Parks from which to admire the Bastille Day fireworks

To ensure that you get a front circle view of the Bastille Day fireworks without spending a euro, the best thing to do is to get early to one of the Parisian parks offering an unobstructed view of the Eiffel Tower. The Belleville panoramic viewpoint offers a view over the entire city from the top of the hill. This option gets you away from the centre of Paris and the crowds and you are able to enjoy a panoramic view of the sky and the city. The Champ de Mars is the major gathering place to enjoy the fireworks display and the musical atmosphere that accompanies it all evening. And for a last idea: go to the Trocadéro gardens, but you have to get their early to get a good spot!

Monuments from which to admire the Bastille Day fireworks

To ensure that you make the most of the year’s most magical fireworks display, why not go up to the top of a monument in Paris with a bird’s eye view? The Sacré-Cœur, the Montparnasse Tower or even the esplanade at Trocadéro are all places from which the Eiffel Tower is visible and where the atmosphere is certainly festive. You have to get their early to get a good spot.

The Observatoire Panoramique at the Tour Montparnasse offers you a special Bastille Day evening on July 14th with a panoramic tour, musical entertainment with Michael Canitrot’s DJ Set, and great views of the fireworks set off from the Eiffel Tower.
On this occasion, public access to the panoramic terrace of the Tour Montparnasse will close exceptionally at 6pm.
