July 14th fireworks display

On 14 July 2020, a spectacular fireworks display will take place at the Eiffel Tower.


The must-see show of the French National Holiday in Paris is the July 14th fireworks display. Like last year, the fireworks will be set off from the Eiffel Tower and the gardens of Trocadéro. For Bastille Day on this 14 July 2020, we are invited to see the Eiffel Tower ablaze in a spectacular display from our streets, our balconies and on television.

This year promises another dazzling spectacle with choreographed multicoloured fireworks bursting open against the backdrop of the Parisian night sky.

This year, due to the strict health and safety conditions, the usual gatherings at the Champs-de-Mars, around the Eiffel Tower and the Alma Bridge are strictly prohibited. However, subject to strict regulations the public will be allowed access to certain places

Grand concert of operatic works

For the 8th consecutive year, a big concert of operatic works will be held at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. For health and safety reasons, the concert will be held behind closed doors and can be watched live on television starting at 9.30pm.

Linked to the firework display, the Orchestre National de France, directed by Alain Altinoglu, the Chœur de Radio France and the Maîtrise de Radio France will be highlighting the chosen theme.

French and international audiences will be able to enjoy live coverage of some amazing performances of opera arias during this concert filmed at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. The concert will air simultaneously on the France 2 TV channel, the France Inter radio station and the European broadcasting channel EUR-Eurovision.
