The Grape Harvest Festival has been organized by the inhabitants of the butte (hill) Montmartre since 1934. This traditional gathering in the animated streets of Montmartre is a joyous and convivial festival that celebrates the new grape harvest. It is also a cultural festival “Celebration of Montmartre... ” which has a humorous edge. Patrons of the festival this year are actress Firmine Richard and the actor and film director Gerard Jugnot. - Big fireworks display with music, 9 October at 9.45pm, at the foot of the Sacré Coeur.Guided visits of the Montmartre Vineyard (free, with reservation on 01 42 62 21 21) on 6, 7 and 8 October; the Bretonneau Hospital Vineyard (free, with reservation on 01 53 11 18 05) on 6 and 8 October; and the Jardins de Ruisseau Vineyards: open day on 8 October.
- Auctions of prestigious wines from the Montmartre Vineyard, organized by the Committee of Festivals and Social Action of the 18th arrondissement.
The profits from the grape harvest and auctions will be used for social work in the 18th arrondissement.
