Public transport, the smart environmental option

Already a firm institution, the metro is in no need of further introduction. But it's important to remember that tourists have access to a wide range of other public transport options, all of which operate smoothly and comfortably and, above all, offer an alternative to using a private car in the capital.

The bus network has grown significantly and become more efficient since the setting aside of reserved lanes. The variety of lines crossing Paris from east to west, from north to south, offers multiple routes on which to discover the city and its districts. Some of the buses are now electrically powered, such as the ‘Montmartrobus’ which, thanks to its route and its charm, rivals the little tourist train of Montmartre!
