the Cirque du Phénix from 31 January to 3 February, the festival will feature about 30 competing acts, all aiming for the gold medal, and showcase the talents of up-and-coming acrobats, circus artistes and clowns. Guest countries include China, Russia, Ukraine, Canada, Germany, the U.K., the U.S., Morocco and several others in an ongoing selection process.
The festival gives visitors a sneak peek at the circus artistes of the future and unveils the latest staging techniques. A blend of traditional circus acts and modern and experimental styles, it places the spotlight on artistes from countries with a little-known circus tradition.
The competition will conclude with a tribute to French circus and a closing gala featuring the most innovative acts.
