From 6 to 23 May 2008
Thanks to the “Jazz Festival at Saint-Germain-des-Prés”, every spring, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, an area famous for its cabarets where the greatest French and international Jazzmen played, dances to boogie-woogie rythms, blues music and gospel songs. This left bank side event has hosted internationally known musicians and interpreters, confirmed artists and nascent young virtuosi. Through showcases, intimistic concerts, discovery shows and festive activities, it offers an eclectic program that gives priority to the grand events of the former editions : the Swing ball, with latino style for the first time this year, the Small Swing Ball with music workshops for children, the electro-jazz Night, the free picture exhibitions, the “Young Talents Stepping Stone”... _Milton Nascimento, Jacky Terrasson, Manu Katché, the London Community Gospel Choir, Erik Truffaz and many others will be there this year. Don’t miss it !
