Paris boasts more than 450 parks and gardens that take on a particularly festive air in summer — not forgetting the woods, zoos and theme parks.

Enjoy a walk amongst the flowers, a picnic, or a siesta in the sun on the lawns open to the public in summertime.
Paris has magnificent French-style gardens: the Tuileries which are an extension of the Louvre (1^st), the Jardin des Plantes (5^th) or Luxembourg, great for kids (6^th).
Romantics should go to Parc Monceau (8^th), Parc Montsouris (14^th) or Parc des Buttes-Chaumont (19^th).
For modern gardens there are Parc André-Citroën (15^th), Parc de Bercy (12^th), Parc de la Villette (19^th) or the new Jardins d’Eole (18^th).
And for something different, take an elevated walk along the gardens of the famous Viaduc des Arts!


The Parc fl oral (12^th), the Bois de Boulogne (16^th) and the Bois de Vincennes (12^th) are the places to go to for extensive areas of woodland and are a favourite with walkers, cyclists and horse riders.
Have fun with the family at the play areas and attractions of the Jardin d’Acclimatation (16^th), or at the wonderful world of Disney at Disneyland® Resort Paris and Parc Astérix. There is also the fascinating zoo to discover at the Jardin des Plantes (5^th), the Aquarium CinéAqua (16^th) and the aquarium at Sea Life Paris Val d’Europe.
