From 14 July to 15 August 2008
Summer in Paris means sunshine, beaches and culture… which, since 1989, has taken the form of a festival – Paris Quartier d’Eté –with a line-up of concerts, shows, theatre, stories, installations and more...
A truly varied programme full of audacity, excitement and innovation, takes place in parks, gardens, avenues and monuments.
The 2008 edition of the Festival Paris Quartier d’Eté promises an excellent programme with, among others: a vibrant dance tribute to Maurice Béjart by the Ballet de l’Opéra National du Rhin in the Cour d’Orléans du Palais Royal, a fantastic choreography by Trisha Brown at the Tuileries Gardens (1st), The Théâtre participatif des britanniques du Rotozaza with « Etiquette » their unnerving performance at the Point Ephémère (10th), Vieux Farka Touré, a pure dose of Malian blues at the Jardin du Luxembourg and the Parc Georges Brassens.
There’s something for everyone… indoors or in the open air, artists, actors, singers, amateurs or professionals. Save the date!
