A cosy atmosphere with soft understated lighting, shapes taking on new appearances…Nuit Blanche is back and more surprising than ever... This initiative orchestrated by the Paris City Council is now in its sixth edition. The event is the perfect opportunity to rediscover the capital in a new light (or rather under a new night!). Interiors and exteriors, museums, libraries, swimming pools and churches… bathed in light become the venues for night birds for a few hours.
To achieve this effect, artists and new talents (musicians, visual artists, video artists, sound and light experts etc.) have been invited to use their expertise to create more and more surprises and excitement every year. This year, Nuit Blanche 2007 will follow the route of line 14 – the only line that will operate all night long – and which on 26 June this gained a new station, the Olympiades.
The artistic programme is a mix of two worlds: images and their new technologies, live performance and street theatre. Among other artistic offerings, Onedotzero Ten years of digital creation and programming and Vjing, Carabosse, (Les) Souffleurs, Expanded cinema, Robert Stadler, KompleXKapharnaüM, Le Phun, Pierre di Sciullo, Trafik…will be on the programme for your next sleepless night!
