Once again this summer some of the roads beside the river will be closed to traffic and will be taken over by walkers, cyclists and roller-bladers. The annual event attracts Parisians and tourists alike for a seaside feel in the heart of the French capital.

11th edition from 20 July to 19 August **,

On the voie George Pompidou**, 800m of beach on the right bank, from pont Neuf (1st) to the Square de l’Hôtel de Ville Sully (4th). At Bassin de la Villette, beach along the quaysides of the Loire and Seine.

On the programme for Paris Plages 2012 : sport (boats, rowing boats, kayaks, pedalos, bikes,...), leisure activities (pétanque, tai chi, table football, sun loungers, sand castles ...), culture (festival Fnac Live on the Parvis de l'Hôtel de Ville, concerts by the best musicians of the Métro, temporary lending library ...).

Paris Plage offers a real holiday feeling beside the Seine with sun loungers, palm trees and sand!
