District : Opéra / Grands boulevards

OLYMPIA Bruno Coquatrix

On March 18 2012

Description :

Saint Patrick's Day is celebrated on the 17th March in Ireland and throughout the world in Irish communities. Saint Patrick is, of course, the patron saint of Ireland and on his day everyone wears green, the colour of the shamrock and symbol of Spring, as this day marks the beginning of this season.

Many pubs and nightclubs organise particularly lively parties for the occasion: concerts, Celtic events, shows, all-night happy-hours, etc.

This feast day remembers Saint Patrick, a missionary who converted Ireland to Christianity, and who is celebrated in the most fun and festive manner possible.

There are also parades organised in big cities, a festive procession of leprechauns and dancing, green-clad characters playing traditional Irish instruments... Come and celebrate, Irish style!
