Exhibition of relief maps of France under the nave of the Grand Palais. Around a 650m² map of France, 13 relief maps designed from the 17th to the 19th century. Interactive functions and multimedia together with an original layout enable the public to explore these extraordinary maps in detail. It was firstly for military reasons that these spectacular 3D maps were created in the 16th century.
Incredibly precise, these models enable us to travel back through time and wander through the streets as seen by Louis XIV ...
