La Maison de l'Alsace
From November 24 2011 to December 23 2011
Description :
Come and have an Alsatian Christmas! Situated on the first floor of the Maison de l'Alsace, the market offers a plethora of regional products to take away or taste on the premises. Discover specialities from the Alsace such as bredele (petits fours baked for Christmas), baerewecke (bread with dried fruit served at Advent), gingerbread, chocolate and naturally wonderful wine from the Alsace and foie gras which will feature on your Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve menu. As you stroll along the Champs-Elysées, don’t hesitate to stop off at the entrance to the Maison de l'Alsace to enjoy a cup of mulled wine, much appreciated in winter time …
To prolong the magic of an Alsatian Christmas, a local choir, the Liederkranz from Attenschwiller will come and open the market on November 23rd. On Tuesday, December 6th at 5.30pm, the Gosspel Kids choir will be singing and children will be treated to a free hot chocolate and gingerbread!
