The France-Russia Year is a major event in 2010 and will take place simultaneously in Russia and France.
In Paris, and throughout France, numerous events (exhibitions, concerts, shows, festivals, etc.) offer the chance to observe the strong historic links between France and Russia and to (re) discover and appreciate the history, the richness and the diversity of Russian cultural life.
Not-to-miss events include: the exhibition « Sainte Russie : l’art russe, des origines à Pierre le Grand » ( Holy Russia: Russian art from the Beginnings to Peter the Great), at the Louvre museum; « Le génie romantique russe à l’époque de Gogol et Pouchkine - Trésors de la Galerie Trétiakov, Moscou » (the Russian romantic spirit in the era of Gogol and Pouchkine – Treasures from the Trétiakov Gallery, Moscow), at the Musée de la Vie Romantique; the Ballet de l’Opéra de Novossibirsk as part of the « Etés de la danse in Paris » festival, at the Théâtre du Châtelet; the complete Tchaikovsky symphonies by the Mariinsky orchestra at the Salle Pleyel…

But the France-Russia Year 2010 is also the occasion to gain a better understanding of scientific developments and the contemporary realities of the Russia of today. The Grand Palais presents the great achievements of Russian industry with the “Journées de la Russie” (Russia Days).
A cultural season, which throughout 2010 focuses particularly on creation and the young generations.
