Get an insider’s view of Paris with the volunteers who make up the “Parisien d'un jour, parisien toujours” association. This is the ideal tour for those of you who’d like to get off the tourist trail and experience an original way to see the city. “Paris greeters” are Parisians who enjoy sharing their knowledge of Paris and specific neighbourhoods. They will take you to unusual and often secret places, give you insights into their history and tell you the best places to go for a meal, a drink, shopping and much more.

Programme:

Make sure you register at least two weeks in advance on the “Parisien d'un jour, parisien toujours” website. A volunteer will take you on a visit of his or her neighbourhood.
You can also sign up for one of these walks at a Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau “Welcome Ambassador” kiosk in the city during the Tourism Days from 10 to 13 July. Walks will be organised depending on the number of volunteers available and the number of visitors who have signed up.

To join a walk :

Please send in your request at least two weeks before your arrival in Paris to give the association time to find a volunteer free on the dates you will be visiting.

Walks are for groups of up to 6 people and may include people who have signed up separately, although explanations will be provided in only one language.
