Out of the 14 urban metro lines, only the most recent METEOR (line n°14) is fully accessible to disabled people. The others are much less so, due to their age. However, certain stations such as the Grande Arche de la Défense, Châtelet and the Gare de Lyon on line n°1, are accessible with the help of an operating agent. Blind people may be accompanied without charge by their guide dogs
. In the metro carriages, numbered seats are reserved for disabled people. For those with sight impairments, warning care strips have been placed along all metro platforms. Also, the signalization system has been improved with public announcements on lines 13 and 7, which have 2 different branches.
