Back to the beginning of Canadian history: Parisian walk following in the footsteps of the pioneers of New France
Start at the Fontaine des Innocents at 2.30pm. (Métro/RER Les Halles) 24 June 2010.
This walk in Paris introduces places linked to the lives of characters that illustrate Canada’s history: Louis Hébert, first settler in Quebec, Samuel de Champlain, Quebec’s founder, Mgr de Laval, first bishop, and Paul de Maisonneuve, first governor.
Walking through 17th and 18th century Paris, discover Paris in a different light and the close links between France and Quebec on the day of the Quebec national holiday.
The visit finishes at place de la Contrescarpe.
Rate: 10 euros per person + 1 ticket to take the bus
