Paris, international shopping destination, from 10 to 21 January 2007

Paris cuts a dash at the next winter sales! Over a thousand businesses are eagerly joining forces for Sales by Paris, a special event proposed by the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry – the Paris delegation, the Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Paris City Council, in close partnership with the Union of major City Centre Retailers, trade associations, the National Federation of the Clothing Trade, the National Council of Clothing Chain Stores, the Bred and major department stores.

From 10 to 21 January, Sales by Paris will rally department stores, “trendy” boutiques, luxury and young designer labels, concept stores and small businesses, brought together by the Paris CCIP around a single and unique objective, to make the month of January “a tourism shopping extravaganza”.

On the programme, three high spots: - Wednesday 10 January in the morning: launch of this first edition at Galeries Lafayette; - Thursday 11 January: “Sales evening” until 10pm; - Sunday 14 January: special opening of all the boutiques taking part in this initiative.

The 243 tourism trade professionals taking part in this operation will be offering reductions to enable visitors to make the most of this special time of year!
