As well as the permanent welcoming points of the Tourism Office and kiosks for the operation “Welcoming Ambassadors” (numerous welcoming ambassadors organised throughout the summer to offer help to tourists in their own language about many cultural and festive events happening in the capital) temporary kiosks will welcome Parisians and tourists to inform them, guide them and answer all sorts of tourist questions about Paris and the region.
›› Trocadéro. Open 5th and 6th July from 11am to 7pm
›› Madeleine. Open 11th, 12th and 13th July from 11am to 7pm.
›› Place des Abesses. Open 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th, and 10th July from 11am to 7pm.
These « smile spots » staffed by multilingual personnel will create a real place of meeting and exchanging for Parisians and tourists.
In all the Smile Spots from Monday the 5th to Monday the 14th July 2008 : **
– Aphotographer will capture the best smiles front of the capital’s monuments.
You will be able to find these photos in the rubric Download the photos from the Smiling Points
– A souvenir ribbon-bracelet, reminding " PARIS VOUS SOURIT ! – PARIS SMILES FOR YOU !", will be widely distributed.
– A « flyer » announcing the program will invite you to take advantage of this week and its many events
– The Parisians’ and Visitors’ Chartwill also be available
– Documentation of the Tourism Office and the Paris Convention in several languages : Paris is Yours, the city map, Paris Gourmand, Paris accommodation
