The Etoiles du Rex is more than a cinema and more than a museum!!
Parcours entièrement rénové en 2008 avec de nouvelles animations. A unique, interactive 50-minute tour with audio guide, revealing behind the scenes of Europe's biggest movie theatre, built in 1932 on Paris’s Grands Boulevards. The inimitable 2,800-seater Grand Rex, with its Art Deco style, has been a listed building since 1981. After some archive stills, you will take a panoramic lift and literally find yourself behind the 300-sq.m screen where a film is being screened! Then experience special effects and visit the projection room and the sound studio where you will hear King Kong approaching… The magic of the silver screen! Watch out for the grand finale where you have the starring role! Open all year from Wednesday to Sunday and on public holidays from 10am to 7pm non-stop! Open daily during school holidays (zones A, B et C). Guided audio visit in French, English, German and Italian. Individual price: €9.80. Under 12s : €8. Possibility of a tour with a Grand Rex tour guide. Shop. Long-stay car park at "Place de la Bourse" or "Rue Taitbout". Hire possible for receptions and events.
