From May to October, the city of Paris organises numerous festivals in its parks and gardens. Theatre performances, concerts, shows for children and for adults; there's something for everyone.
The season begins with Kiosques en Musique. The "kiosques" are the charming bandstands that can be found in many Parisian parks, and during this festival they will be used to host some 400 free concerts, delighting music-lovers of all ages.
In summer the Pestacles (June to September 2016) festival brings a programme of concerts and shows for children every Wednesday.
The Musicales de Bagatelle (20, 21 and 21 May 2016), The Chopin festival (June - July) and the Octuor de France (July - August 2016) in the Bagatelle Park, are a fine celebration of the classical music.
The Paris Jazz Festival (from 11 June to 31 July 2016) which has been going for over 20 years livens up the Parc Floral in Paris every weekend. From August to September 2016, the classical music festival Classique au Vert takes over the city's green spaces.
At the end of the summer season, the festival Lyrique au Vert (September 2016), which takes place in the Bagatelle Park, brings a breath of fresh air in the form of opera and vocal music, while Kiosquorama (June - October 2016) puts music and performing arts in the spotlight. The Botanical Gardens in Paris also plays host to a music festival, the Solistes à Bagatelle (from 3 to 18 September 2016).
